See Kai Run: Smaller Giveaway
POST:2008-10-23 13:30:45
We have raved about See Kai Run Shoes in the past for their older child shoes, but now See Kai Run is putting that style we love on our littlest ones, appropriately named, Smaller! And style they do! The shape of the shoe reminds me of a regular shoe, which makes the shoe a style superior to those baby shoes that really don't seem to matter which foot they are worn on.We know that it's best for best for baby to learn to walk without a firm-soled shoe. However, I don't want my baby walking around barefoot outside, and although Robeez are nice indoors, I don't think they really cut it for outdoor wear. Actually, cutting is exactly what I'm worried about. I worry (ah, my list of worries!) that my girl will step on a sharp rock or something worse, that will cut right through such a thin sole. So, Smaller is a great option for both indoor and outdoor wear. The sole's leather is thicker, and more padded, but it still retains its needed flexibility to be accepted by the APMA. We have the Nancy (right) and my girl loves these shoes. I know she can take them off, but she doesn't. She isn't a real pudgy baby, but I can see how the Smaller shoe would be fantastic for thicker feet. For that same reason, I wouldn't recommend them for real small babies, just because I don't think they would stay on as well as when they are older. But from crawlers on, or for larger ankled infants, these shoes would be great! Like I said, my 12 month girl can take these shoes off, but doesn't, and I can only guess the reason is because they are far more comfortable than her other "regular" shoes that she refuses to wear more than 5 minutes.See Kai Run has great style throughout all their lines. In addition to Smaller, we have tried the original line, which is for 6 months to 3 year olds. My 3-year-old guy loves the super soft leather, and I love that many of the shoes look casual enough for play, and dressy enough for church, so there's no need to buy multiple pairs of shoes.Unfortunately, my son is extremely hard on...every object. He's a sweet boy, and doesn't mean to break virtually everything he comes in contact with, but he "twanged" the elastic "shoelaces" of his own See Kai Run shoes until they made one last satisfying snap. Easily replaced with elastic from the store, but I wonder how frequently I will have to repair his new favorite instrument. The nice thing is that the body of the shoe has held up very well, which is a definite compliment given the condition of everything else my little man has ever worn, and they don't stink like his other shoes do. Everybody's a winner there!Overall, I'm pleased with pretty much every shoe See Kai Run carries, and they have a huge variety (I'd love to try the Smaller so cute boots). They are all so cute, and comfortable! Another bonus, love the box for gifting! Hooray to another shoe innovation from a mom!Who wants to win a pair of the new Smaller shoes from See Kai Run?
